Maggie is my Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. She's smart as a whip in my opinion. The opinions of my family members may, ah, differ slightly. Like when she jumps the fence. Or sleeps outside in the rain. Or goes missing for five hours with one of the other dogs when the gate was left open. Anyway, she's pretty trainable and over time I've taught her some useful stuff. Sit, lay down, to walk off leash, leave it, "stay off the grass" for when we're walking in the cemetery, etc. I made her lay down and wait, and she was giving me puppy dog eyes during this photo.
